AI in qualitative research: How can we make effective use of it?
AI is transforming the way we conduct qualitative research – and that’s exciting. This workshop invites you to find out for yourself.
We’ll start with what you need to know to assess AI tools competently and use them with confidence: What actually lies behind them? How do they work – and what does that mean for my research practice? Then we’ll look together at how AI can support familiar processes – for example, coding – and where it’s already taking real work off our hands today, without us having to relinquish our methodological control. But the most exciting part comes at the end: generative AI opens up possibilities that simply didn’t exist before. Together, we’ll explore what that means in concrete terms – and how you can harness these possibilities for your own research.
