Energy-saving boxes in the library

2026-02-23 Would you like to promote climate protection at home and save money at the same time?

It's easy! You can borrow energy-saving boxes on five different energy-saving topics from the library. They can be borrowed for 8 days from the service desk in the library foyer and can help you improve your assessment of your individual energy consumption.

The following boxes are available:

Shower box: Contains a water consumption meter that provides immediate feedback on temperature and water usage.

Heating box: Contains programmable thermostatic valves for efficient regulation of room temperature. Use it to reduce your energy consumption without sacrificing your comfort temperature.

Proper Ventilation Box: Measuring devices for determining humidity in the living area help improve your living environment and prevent mold.

LED Box: Dimmable LED lights can significantly reduce energy consumption for lighting in the living area.

Infrared box: Contains a thermal imaging camera that connects to your smartphone. It can be used to visualize heat radiation and temperature differences in color. It helps to detect heat leaks in buildings and heating systems. The thermal imaging camera is suitable for both iOS and Android.

Have fun trying it out and saving energy!
