Construction work on 11 and 12 May

2026-05-08 On 11 and 12 May, the installation of loudspeakers will cause disruption due to noise and barriers.

Next Tuesday, 12 May, soundproof booths will be set up in the reading room and foyer. These are designed to provide students with a more private environment for studying and working, shielded from view and noise.

Four small booths, each seating four people, will be installed in the south wing of the reading room, and two in the foyer.

In addition, a large, fully enclosed cubicle for up to six people will be set up in the north-western corner of the reading room (near the Psychology department). This cubicle is accessible and completely soundproof.

The installation areas on the ground floor next to the printers, at the rear of the south wing (Recht), in the eastern part of the foyer and in the north-west corner of the reading room (Psy) will be closed off for this purpose and will no longer be accessible from Monday 11 May.

In addition to the closures, some disruption due to noise during this period is unavoidable.
