Repository PubData

On PubData, research data and related materials can be permanently archived and, if wanted, published. Access to these data can either be completely free or restricted to certain persons or groups of persons. In addition, data sets that have already been published with external providers can be reported for inclusion in the PubData inventory.

On PubData, publications can be made available worldwide free of charge in the sense of open access. The publication service is currently focused on so-called alternative publication formats. These include, for example, podcasts, videos, teaching and learning materials, lectures or presentations. Student publications are very welcome and can be published via the repository with a publication recommendation from the respective reviewers or lecturers.

It is expected that from autumn 2023, literature publications (e.g. books, journal articles or university publications) can be published on PubData as first or parallel publications. Currently, such publications can be made available worldwide free of charge via the university publication server OPUS.

The materials submitted to PubData are provided with a DOI (Digital Object Identifier). This makes the content permanently findable and citable. Furthermore, data and publications are searchable in the PubData catalogue as well as cross-catalogue systems and search engines.
