NEW: Scantent in the reading room

A ScanTent is now available in the reading room. This allows books and documents to be digitised free of charge using your own smartphone.
The smartphone is placed on a holder at the top of the tent, while the document is placed underneath. The tent ensures even lighting conditions and stable images, so that even bound books can be photographed easily and clearly. If necessary, a light strip can also be switched on to improve the lighting.
Any scanning app can be used for scanning, e.g. DocScan, the scan function in Preview app on the iPhone, or other document scanner apps. The images are saved directly to your own device.
The ScanTent can be used freely in the reading room during opening hours. If you have any questions, the reading room team will be happy to help.
