VPN Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
2026-10-09 Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) now also available for the VPN access
In recent months, MIZ has already enabled multi-factor authentication (MFA) for access to numerous services. The VPN access has now also been upgraded accordingly.
From now on, logging in to the Leuphana VPN using MFA is finally possible, making access more secure than ever before.
You will now find two new options to choose from in your VPN client:
- Leuphana Intranet MFA
- Leuphana Online Research MFA
If these options are not yet displayed, please enter one of the following addresses:
- vpn.leuphana.de/intranet-mfa
- vpn.leuphana.de/online-recherche-mfa
When you connect for the first time, the new MFA option will automatically be configured on your device.
The actual login process takes place via your default browser. Once you have selected the MFA profile, a Microsoft sign-in page (https://login.microsoftonline.com) will open automatically.
Important: You can only sign in using MFA with your Leuphana email address.
