Double Degree Programme
International Business Administration & Entrepreneurship
The cooperation between the University of Glasgow and Leuphana University Lüneburg enables you to complete an international degree programme with integrated semesters abroad in Glasgow – and to receive a Bachelor degree from both universities after successful completion of four academic years.
International Study Programme
As a student of International Business Administration & Entrepreneurship at Leuphana, you are able to apply for one of three programmes at the University of Glasgow in order to receive a double-degree:
- Finance
- Business Economics or
- Business Management
The University of Glasgow is one of the oldest English-speaking universities and, as a founding member of the Russell Group, consistently ranks among the world's best universities in international rankings. The Adam Smith Business School at the University of Glasgow also stands for top-class research and teaching in the subjects of accounting and finance, economics and management.
Structure
The international cooperation between the University of Glasgow and Leuphana University Lüneburg takes place in Lüneburg (Germany) and Glasgow (United Kingdom). You spend the first two years of your studies in Lüneburg and the third and fourth year in Glasgow.
During your studies in Lüneburg you are officially enrolled for the Bachelor of Science in International Business Administration and Entrepreneurship. In Glasgow you can choose between courses of the Bachelor of Finance and the Master of Arts in Social Science with different focuses.
If you decide to take the double degree, you must already prepare your application during the first semester at Leuphana University.

Tuition Fees and Scholarships
- During the 1st and 2nd year you have to pay a semester contribution about 400 Euros per term.
- In the 3rd and 4th year at the University of Glasgow, you will pay annual tuition fees for international students with a reduction of 40% through the University of Glasgow-Leuphana Scholarship. Please refer to the University of Glasgow's website for current tuition fees.
Application
Ideally, you will apply for the double degree in your third semester at Leuphana. You must have applied for the program by January of your second year at the latest. Depending on the demand, it is also possible to apply for the program already in the first year of study.
Step 1
Leuphana students apply via the International Center's MoveOn platform. The International Center sends a list of nominees to Glasgow.
Application deadline for the winter semester 2024/15: 12 December 2024
Step 2
Nominees apply to the University of Glasgow using a direct link they receive by e-mail.
Required documents:
- Copy of passport
- Transcript of records (first completed year = 60 ECTS)
- Proof of English language proficiency
- German Abitur certificate with a minimum of 11 points in English as the first, second or third examination subject in the gymnasiale Oberstufe (average of the four half-year blocks or Abitur assessment) OR
English language proficiency as required by University of Glasgow’s programme list
