Applying with non-EU/EEA certificates
If you have an international university entrance qualification from a non-EU/EEA country, you must apply for a Bachelor's degree programme at Leuphana College via uni-assist. This applies to both international and German applicants.
application deadlines
For the first semester
- Mid-May to 15 July for studies beginning in October (winter semester)
- Please note: All bachelor's degree programmes at the college begin in the winter semester. It is therefore not possible to begin studies in the summer semester (beginning in April).
For higher semesters
- Mid-May to 15 July for studies beginning in October (winter semester)
- Mid-December to 15 January for studies beginning in April (summer semester)
Important note
It is best to submit your application for the first/higher semester and all required documents to uni-assist 6 weeks before the application deadline. This will allow you to submit any missing documents to uni-assist by the application deadline.
You can only apply for one Bachelor's programme. This means that you can either apply for a major-minor combination or for a teacher training programme. For teacher training programmes, you can either apply for two teaching subjects or for the vocational specialisation in social pedagogy and one teaching subject.

Crediting of academic credits already earned
Your academic credits earned to date will be credited by placing you in a higher semester. Proof of your previous academic achievements must be provided in the form of a transcript in German or English.
Important note
For the summer semester, classification is into even semesters (2nd, 4th, 6th semester, etc.) and for the winter semester only into odd semesters (3rd, 5th semester, etc.). As the number of places available in higher semesters depends on the number of places available, it is advisable to apply multiple times, i.e. for the 2nd, 4th and 6th semesters (for the summer semester) or the 3rd and 5th semesters (for the winter semester).
Allocation of study places
Whether you are awarded a study place depends on the number of places that have become available in your desired study programme. Places are allocated in accordance with the Lower Saxony Higher Education Allocation Regulations.
