Within the framework of the Diversity Day (events from 31th May to 4th June) Dr. Emily Ngubia Kessé, a neuroscientist in the field of gender studies, with a strong focus on PostColonial studies and Critical Race Theory will present her research about the entrenchment of racism within western European Higher Education. Dr, Kessé interviewed Black Students and Students of Color in Berlin and Brandenburg in order to understand how racism was performed in the academy. She believes that finding one's voice is the first right step towards decolonization and regaining one's authority and presence in a world structured by racism, Cissexism and Ableism.

There is no registratioon required. The event will take place hybrid in C 40.154 and via ZOOM. The speaker will be connected via ZOOM.
