Disruptions to the Construction Process and Contract Amendments: Certificate

Contract & project management in the area of conflict between construction law & construction management theory

The programme is offered in the German language and is thus directed at prospective students with a good command of German. The programme’s German-language web pages provide detailed information needed on the content of the course and application procedures.

Practically no construction project proceeds as envisaged in the contract for work and services. Whether other and changing orders, defects, changes in quantity, extension of construction time - there are many reasons for deviations between the actual and the target construction situation and (not only) in the end the contracting parties argue about the fair distribution of costs and remuneration.

However, these risks inherent in construction contracts can be calculated and the influence of disruptions on the construction process can be significantly reduced if there is a common thread running through contract and project management right from the start. However, this requires an understanding of the general conditions under construction law and contract law as well as a systematically managed calculation. In our further training in construction management in the certificate Disturbed Construction Process and Supplements, which is made up of modules from the successful Master's in Construction Law and Construction Management, you will be taught both. With its reduction to elements of contract and project management, the certificate offer is aimed specifically at project managers in the construction industry as well as young professionals who want to specialise in the area of contract/subcontract and project management.
