Studying sustainability - at a university that lives and understands sustainability

With your further education in sustainability at the Professional School, you are choosing one of the leading universities in the field of sustainability. Leuphana is holistically committed to humanistic, sustainable and action-oriented development. It was the first university to establish its own Faculty of Sustainability and pursues a comprehensive sustainability concept that covers all areas of campus infrastructure, from energy management to waste and procurement to event management.

Leuphana received the German Sustainability Award in 2023 for its leading role in sustainable change in Germany. This award recognizes excellence in sustainability in business, municipalities and research and is the largest of its kind in Europe. The award is presented by the Stiftung Deutscher Nachhaltigkeitspreis e. V. (German Sustainability Award Foundation) in collaboration with various partners. The university emphasizes its long-standing sustainability strategy, which not only focuses on research and teaching, but is also put into practice in everyday university life. The jury's decision confirms Leuphana as a pioneer in Germany and praises its transdisciplinary approach to sustainability in business and society.
