Arts & Cultural Management Masters: Application

Thank you for your interest in a professional Arts and Cultural Management M.A. at Leuphana University of Lüneburg Professional School. This page provides all key information on applications and admission to the Cultural Management programme.
The new application period starts on October 16th, 2023.
Admission requirements
The Masters is aimed at candidates with
- an undergraduate degree (Bachelor or at least equivalent) that qualifies them for work in the field from an accredited university in Germany or abroad
- generally one year’s relevant work experience after you completed your first university degree
- advanced English skills
The following tests are accepted as proof of English proficiency:
- TOEFL, IBT min. 92 points (Online test)
- IELTS (Academic version) min. 6.5 points
- CAE or CPE: Level C1, Grade B
- TOEIC 4 skills test: min. 720 points in listening and reading and 310 points in speaking and writing
Scholarships and funding
You can contact a Goethe-Institut in your country, which will help you with finding local partners for scholarships. If you need further consultation on how to find a first contact point, Dr. Marguerite Rumpf from the Goethe-Institut Head Office will be glad to assist you.

Start date and deadline for applications
The new intake for the Arts and Cultural Management Masters is once a year in September. You have until May 31st to complete online applications.

- Certified copy of degree certificate
- Copy of university entrance qualification certificate
- Proof of English skills
- Proof of at least one year’s relevant professional experience (voluntary and part-time work accepted)
- Personal statement: optional, please send it after you completed your application directly to macuma.info@leuphana.de
Admission
We will confirm in writing the receipt of your application, and will contact you as soon as possible if we require any other documents. We will examine your application and generally notify you four weeks before the start of the course whether or not you have been accepted.
