Admission requirements

The Masters is aimed at candidates with

  • an undergraduate degree (Bachelor or at least equivalent) that qualifies them for work in the field from an accredited university in Germany or abroad
  • generally one year’s relevant work experience after you completed your first university degree
  • advanced English skills

The following tests are accepted as proof of English proficiency:

  • TOEFL, IBT min. 92 points (Online test)
  • IELTS (Academic version) min. 6.5 points
  • CAE or CPE: Level C1, Grade B
  • TOEIC 4 skills test: min. 720 points in listening and reading and 310 points in speaking and writing

Scholarships and funding

Start date and deadline for applications

The new intake for the Arts and Cultural Management Masters is once a year in September. You have until May 31st to complete online applications.

Late applications may be considered upon personal request and subject to availability. Please send an email to the coordinators.

Application documents

  • Online application
  • CV (table format)
  • Certified copy of degree certificate
  • Transcript of records of your degree
  • Proof of English skills
  • Proof of at least one year’s relevant professional experience (voluntary and part-time work accepted)
  • Personal statement: optional, please send it after you completed your application directly to macuma.info@leuphana.de

Admission

You will be informed about the status of your application or if any documents are missing via the application platform. If you have been admitted to the programme, you will need to enroll online and transfer the semester fees for the first semester. After this you can apply for a Schengen-visa, if necessary (many nationals do not need a visa for a stay of 1 weeks), in order to participate in the on campus week in Lüneburg. It is not necessary to apply for a student visa, because of the distance-learning format.
