Professional Bachelor studies

The range of professional Bachelor programmes at the Professional School includes both programmes for pre-school teachers and a professional Business Administration Bachelor.

Please note that the Bachelor pro­gram­mes are of­fe­red in the Ger­man lan­gua­ge and are thus di­rec­ted at pro­s­pec­tive stu­dents with a good com­mand of Ger­man.

Bachelor programmes for pre-school teachers

The Professional School offers the following Bachelor programme for working pre-school teachers:

• Social work for pre-school teachers (B.A.): A programme that opens up new career prospects in the social work professions

Bachelor for business & commerce professionals

In 2017, the Professional School added a business degree to its range of professional Bachelor programmes:

• Business Administration (B.A.): A professional programme qualifying you for management roles in a wide range of fields

Study for a professional Bachelor without an Abitur

Thanks to the "3+3" rule, you can be accepted onto professional Bachelor programmes without an Abitur [A-Level equivalent]. The admission requirements in this case are a three-year vocational training course and three years' relevant professional experience.

Specialist knowledge and interdisciplinary qualifications

Professional Bachelor programmes at the Leuphana Professional School are not purely subject-specific: students also explore interdisciplinary elements in complementary studies/interdisciplinary modules. These include project management, mediation and conflict management, for example. Another important aspect of all professional Bachelor programmes at the Professional School is project work. Project work allows you to put what you learn into practice even before you complete your Bachelor degree.
