M.Sc. Sustainable Chemistry: Application

We thank you for your interest in the advanced training Masters programme Sustainable Chemistry. We are delighted that you are interested in studying the programme at Leuphana University Lüneburg. You find all relevant information with regard to application and admission on this website.

The application period has ended. In exceptional cases, applications for remaining places are still possible after consultation with the degree programme coordinator. Please contact Lisa Keßler for this purpose (see below).

Admission Requirements

The programme of study is directed toward all university graduates who

  • hold a first university degree in the field of chemistry, bio- and environmental engineering, pharmacy, biochemistry or related fields (B.Sc. or M.Sc.),
  • have at least one year of qualified professional experience and
  • have sophisticated English language skills (e.g. 92 points in the online TOEFL test or comparable score from other tests)

Enrolment and Application Deadlines

Enrolment in the Sustainable Chemistry programme takes place once a year. Applications for the March intake are due on the 10th of December.

After we have received your application, we will send you a written acknowledgement. If we should require further documents from you, we will contact you immediately. After we have examined your completed application, we will inform you whether you have been accepted to the degree programme four weeks prior to the semester’s start. 

Steps after submitting your application

After you have submitted your application, you will hear about admission after the application deadline passed. You would receive the necessary documents which you have to fill out and transfer the semester fees for the first semester (ca. 200 €). Then you would receive your official student ID etc. With this documents you can apply for a Schengen-visa, if necessary (many nationalities do not need a visa for a stay of 2 weeks). It is not necessary to apply for a student visa, because of the distance-learning format.
