Certificate Sustainable Chemistry & Regulatory Affairs: Contents

Your qualification in sustainable chemistry

In the Sustainable Chemistry and Regulatory Affairs certificate programme, you will take a total of four specialised modules. In two extra-occupational semesters, you will deal intensively with sustainable chemistry in the context of (inter)national legislation and regulation as well as measures of international chemicals management.

The modules in the Certificate Sustainable Chemistry & Regulatory Affairs

Environmental Chemistry (5 CP)

In this module you will address the following topics, among others:

  • Sources, reactions, transport, effects and fate of chemical substances
  • Effects of anthropogenic action on these processes

Toxicology and Ecotoxicology (5 CP)

In diesem Modul befassen Sie sich mit Grundlagen der Toxikologie und Ökotoxikologie sowie der toxikologischen Risikobewertung.

Law, International Regulations, and Global Chemicals Management (5 CP)

In this module you will take a look at legal and regulatory aspects in global chemical management. To this end, you will deal with the following topics, among others:

  • Chemicals law
  • Environmental law
  • International conventions
  • International chemicals management

Project Work Chemistry, Sustainability and the 2030 Agenda (5 CP)

The project work supports you in the transfer between the professional context and the contents of the certificate regarding sustainable chemistry and the 2030 Agenda.
