InteSA

With the "InteSA" project, the Leuphana Professional School aims to enable foreign specialists from the fields of social work and social pedagogy who have obtained their degree abroad to improve their integration into the German labour market and to accompany them on their way to state-recognition.

The project will be sponsored by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) from April 2024 to the end of 2028.

Target group

Are you a social worker or social pedagogue and have obtained your university degree abroad? With the "InteSA" project, we support you on your way into social work/educational professions.

To this end, we work with you personally to assess which qualifications you already have and which skills you still need in order to obtain state recognition as a social worker in Germany as quickly as possible. We then support you in acquiring the missing knowledge with individual counselling services and part-time training courses. The free qualification programme, which is supported by the International Center and the Institute for Social Work and Social Pedagogy, is held in German.

Project goals

The aim of the project is to offer foreign skilled workers tailored support to pave their way into the German labour market. Through targeted networking events and exchanges with practice partners, participants are prepared not only professionally but also practically for their professional future in Germany in order to be able to take up employment appropriate to their qualifications.

With the InteSA project, we want to make a valuable contribution to overcoming the glaring shortage of skilled workers in the field of social work by creating an integrative environment in which foreign skilled workers can realise their full potential.
