Strategic Controlling
The department Strategic Controlling coordinates the provision of statistics on all key topics of the university. Through the preparation and analysis of data, the department supports the Presidential Board and central university units in strategic steering. The statistics and data-based analyses serve as foundation for decisions related to the university’s internal development. Other core tasks include the annual capacity calculation and the negotiation of target agreements with the federate state.
Main tasks of Strategic Controlling:
- Data collection and processing: Provision of internal statistics and additional data analyses
- Data analysis: Evaluation of data related to study and teaching to support the strategic planning and steering processes of the Presidential Board and central university units
- Capacity calculation: Calculation of the annual admission capacities for degree programmes in coordination with schools, faculties, and the Presidential Board
- Capacity planning: Coordination and verification of the teaching capacities for the degree programmes
- Agreements on study offer objectives: Coordination of the annual changes in the range of study programmes reported to the Ministry for Science and Culture (MWK)
- Target agreements: Coordination of the multi-year strategic target agreement with the MWK in cooperation with the President’s Office
- Rankings: Management of the university’s institutional participation in rankings and analysis of ranking results
