Podcast "Wicked Problems"

2026-06-17

Science and business practice – two worlds that all too rarely truly listen to one another… That’s why, since the beginning of the year, Prof. Dr. Hannah Trittin-Ulbrich (Leuphana University of Lüneburg) and Dr. Martin Bethke (Butterfly Effect Consulting) have launched the podcast “Wicked Problems – Science | Business | Change.”

In the podcast, they discuss the major transformational issues of our time – both among themselves and with a rotating cast of guests from the worlds of research, business, and society – and pose questions such as:

• What do current scientific findings really tell us?

• Why does change in companies so often fail at the implementation stage?

• Which approaches to solutions work in practice – and which don’t?

• And how can leaders deal with uncertainty, complexity, and conflicting goals?

“Wicked Problems” is aimed at CEOs, executives, change managers, sustainability and transformation leaders, as well as anyone interested in scientifically grounded, practical answers to complex questions. This isn’t a podcast about simple solutions, but about asking the right questions – and how change can still succeed.
