At Leuphana University Lüneburg, you can acquire the know-how you need to actively shape these transformations while continuing to work. You can choose between two English-language distance learning programmes:

Part-time and flexible training to become an expert in sustainable chemistry

The master's programmes at Leuphana Professional School combine up-to-date specialist knowledge with interdisciplinary skills and soft skills. This ensures that you are fully prepared for future management tasks.

Both master's programmes are designed as international distance learning courses and are accredited by external agencies.

The majority of the programme takes place online via an innovative learning platform. The online programme is supplemented by compact attendance weeks on campus in Lüneburg, during which you will carry out laboratory exercises, participate in seminars and expand your international network, depending on your programme. The part-time study concept allows you to remain fully employed and tailor your studies to your individual needs. Even during the online phases, teaching materials, digital learning spaces and personal support from the Leuphana team are available to you. In addition, you can take advantage of individual study plan counselling once a year.

Chemistry for Sustainability: Study programmes

M.Sc. Sustainable Chemistry

In this four-semester English-language Master's programme, you will learn to understand and apply chemistry in the context of sustainability. The programme combines fundamental scientific principles with concepts from the circular economy, environmental chemistry and sustainable product development. You will explore topics ranging from the molecular level to global material flows and develop innovative solutions for sustainable chemistry in the future.

Duration: 4 semesters (flexible), 90 credit points

MBA Sustainable Chemistry Management

The part-time English-language MBA in Sustainable Chemistry Management combines management skills with in-depth knowledge of sustainable chemistry. You will learn to implement strategies and transformative management practices in your professional field and to embed sustainability goals in organisations, companies and administrations. The programme prepares you to lead the chemical industry and related sectors responsibly towards sustainability.
