Introductory Course Social Work

Extended access to part-time studies

The programme is offered in German and is thus directed at prospective students with a good command of German language skills. The programme’s German-language web pages provide detailed information needed on the content of the course and application procedures.

The part-time Bachelor's programme "Social Work for Educators" at the Professional School of Leuphana University of Lüneburg is currently only open to state-recognised educators with at least three years of professional experience. A tailor-made preparatory course for specific target groups has been developed so that access to the degree programme and the crediting of competences for other pedagogical occupational groups is possible. Three subject areas are taught: "Social history and history of ideas in social work" as well as "Introduction to pedagogy" and "Introduction to social and developmental psychology". The content is taught by experienced university lecturers.
