120 graduates received their certificates
2024-07-03
"The great learning is just beginning for all of you!" said Prof. Laura Venz, earning a few uncomprehending looks from the 120 graduates at the Faculty of Management and Technology's graduation ceremony on June 8, 2024.
School on Life
"Now it's time to apply these skills and continuously develop them further. In this way, learning becomes a lifelong process, not at the university, but at your own School of Life, where life sets you the learning tasks," continued Prof. Venz. And this is - attention! -relevant to examinations. The expert in work and organizational psychology created some parts of the speech with the help of an artificial intelligence. Simply to show what is possible.
Silver firs at Schliersee
The 85 Bachelor's and 35 Master's students, who were bid farewell on the day by Dean Prof. Paul Drews and Prof. David Loschelder, Vice Dean of Research at the Faculty of Management and Technology, also demonstrated what is possible. Dean Paul Drews pointed out that trees were planted as a symbolic act - a sustainable alternative to cut flowers. This time, 10 silver fir trees at Schliersee will find a new home in memory of the graduates. In previous years, oak trees were planted on Amrum and hornbeams in Hamburg.
A lively farewell
Interrupted only by Hannes Koch. The Lüneburg singer and songwriter livened up the event from time to time with his contributions. Meanwhile, many audience members were amazed at the variety of research questions that the graduates had posed for their theses. Most of them, however, were always under the heading of sustainability and with a view to changing the world of work.
Graduation speech with good humor
In their graduation speech, Jenny Halfina and Luisa Fischermann, Bachelor of Business Administration students, thanked their faculty on behalf of their colleagues and also emphasized the convivial atmosphere, which provoked many laughs from the audience. After the Dean's closing speech, the students and their family members left the auditorium in a festive mood and a little bit proud.
All that remains for us at the faculty to do is to congratulate them on completing their studies. We wish all graduates all the best for the future and a good start to their careers or further studies!
