Our AI and Explainability (AIX) (Head of the Department Prof. Dr. Ricardo Usbeck) research group had the opportunity to gain a practical insight into the future of maritime technologies at the Fraunhofer Center for Maritime Logistics and Services CML in Hamburg.
Under the title 'Increasing efficiency through AI, robotics and digitised processes', our research team was able to marvel at 'innovations in action' - from autonomous boats and port/railway robots to ship bridge simulators.
