Symposium: Shaping the future: Municipal + Digital = Climate Neutral

02. Jul

Together with the Hanseatic City of Lüneburg, the Climate Protection and Energy Agency of Lower Saxony (KEAN), the Lower Saxony Ministry for the Environment, Energy and Climate Protection (MU) and in cooperation with the School of Sustainability | Faculty of Sustainability at Leuphana University of Lüneburg, the Lower Saxony Association of Cities (NST) invites you to an intensive exchange as part of the state-funded project “Supporting and accelerating municipal climate protection through Smart Cities”.

Starting with a presentation by Minister Christian Meyer entitled “Lower Saxony says ‘yes’ to climate protection and the sustainability of the state and municipalities” and a contribution on the results of the Municipal Sustainability Barometer, the event will show how diverse and challenging the path to greenhouse gas neutrality is. These insights will be supplemented by ideas on how municipalities can become active themselves, as well as a panel discussion on the prospects for greenhouse gas-neutral municipalities.
