Director of the chamber music programme: Quinn Frazee

He has performed in Europe, Asia and the USA both as a soloist and as part of chamber and symphony orchestras. Quinn has extensive experience as a chamber musician, including as a violist with the University of Oregon's Alder String Quartet and as a faculty member of the University of Oregon's Department of Chamber Music during the 2021-2022 school year, during which time he participated in several concerts at the International Musicking Festival and the Oregon Bach Festival. Previously, Quinn was part of Polyhymnia, a chamber opera ensemble that has its performance venue in the historic castle theatre of Christiansborg Castle in the heart of Copenhagen. He is also fond of contemporary music and has performed regularly with the septet Morten Kargaard, the Danish folk ensemble Svestar, and the Spanish composer Alicia Sevilla. Quinn has also premiered chamber and symphonic orchestral works at the Danish PULSAR Contemporary Music Festival in three years. Other engagements include performances with the Danmarks Underholdnings Orkester and the Kremlin Chamber Orchestra. Quinn has performed with many orchestras including Copenhagen Philharmonic, Aalburg Symphony Orchestra, Eugene Symphony, Danmarks Underholdnings Orkester, Kremlin Chamber Orchestra and the Royal Copenhagen Chapel. He has performed under the baton of Keith Lockhart, Kristjan Järvi, Rafael Payare, Michael Schønwandt, Christian Badea, Michael Boder and Giordano Bellincampi. Quinn recently completed his Master's degree in Viola Performance at the Royal Danish Conservatory. His teachers have included Lars Anders Tomter, Tim Frederiksen and Dr Mikylah Myers, and for chamber music also Marc Vanscheeuwijck, and Frederik Øland from the Danish String Quartet. He has participated in several masterclasses, for example with Nokuthula Ngwenyama, soloist, composer and winner of the Primrose International Viola Competition in 1993; Jensen Horn-Sin Lam, professor of viola at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music; David Geber, former cellist of the American String Quartet and current lecturer at the Manhattan School of Music; and Péter Mező, professor of chamber music at the Franz Liszt Academy of Music. Quinn is currently studying psychology at the Leuphana University of Lüneburg.

Big Band Director: Marvin Zimmermann

Marvin Zimmermann completed his teacher training and jazz studies at the University of Music, Theatre and Media in Hanover. As part of his jazz studies, he spent two semesters at the Codarts - Hogeschool voor de Kunsten in Rotterdam. His most important teachers included Benny Brown, Jarmo Hoogendijk, Wim Both, Jan van Duikeren and Herbert Hellhund. With his jazz sextet WAS NUN, he released the debut album "Labyrinth" in 2021 and the album "Voyage" in 2022 on the label Geräuschkulisse. "Voyage" was "Jazz Album of the Week" on NDR in December 2022. Marvin is also a permanent member of BrassWoofer, in demand as a substitute in various big bands and works as a music and maths teacher.
