LL.M. Competition & Regulation:
Online Studies

Blended learning for your professional LL.M.

There are currently few LL.M. that offer a blended-learning programme comprising intensive face-to-face and online components. This format has been introduced at the Leuphana Professional School for the LL.M. Competition & Regulation to facilitate studying for an LL.M. whilst ensuring the right balance with your professional and private life. Apart from the three intensive blocks, you can flexibly structure your LL.M. to continue working in your profession whilst successfully studying.

E-Learning for the Competition and Regulation LL.M.

E-learning does not mean simply watching videos on your computer at home without any further support. In fact, e-learning involves much more extensive support than a conventional degree. There are many short activities such working through quizzes and writing forum posts that actively involve you in the online distance-learning programme. An e-tutor will help you to remember these activities and encourage you to work on them.

There are also a number of live classes in the e-learning phase over the course of your blended learning LL.M.: a telephone conference using AdobeConnect gives you the chance to engage with staff, professionals and other students. The e-learning team at the Professional School is there to provide technical support, so you can successfully study without advanced IT knowledge.

This structure is unique for a law programme, differing significantly from traditional law lectures and seminars. The combination of e-learning and face-to-face blocks allows us to offer an LL.M. programme that can be perfectly combined with your working life to promote your career in competition and regulation law.

Another part of the blended-learning LL.M. is Webinars. The evening Webinar format brings in practitioners from major law firms, who share their experience of work in competition and regulation law. Representatives of competition authorities and regulators also report on their work and give you an insight into the "other side". The programme thus has strong links to practice, and students can start developing their own network in the competition and regulation field.
