Assessment in the digital and AI age

This workshop is part of the workshop series “KI-Kompetenzen für Lehrende”.

How do we design exams – and why? Juggling examination regulations, the necessity to teach certain skills, creativity and the availability of generative AI, this is not an easy question to answer.

In this session, we will ask ourselves what constitutes a good exam. How do we genuinely test exactly what we want to teach? After an introduction on examination didactics, we will take a look at different exam scenarios, including and excluding the use of generative AI, and discuss whether an exam can be “AI-proof”.

Ideas on how to implement the requirements of examination regulations in various scenarios will be discussed, and we will talk about how to decide which role generative AI should play in an exam.

The event is aimed at all lecturers; no prior knowledge is required. Participants are welcome to bring their own scenarios, issues and questions.
