A well-prepared research proposal is a crucial part of most applications in academia. The research proposal is your first impression. You articulate your interest and argue why it matters. With your research proposal you have to convince a potential supervisor of the quality of your doctoral project. It shows that you are able to independently plan and conduct a research project within a given timeframe. Also, your research proposal demonstrates how the project will contribute to your scientific community and improves the state of research.

This workshop will provide a brief orientation towards how a research proposal can be structured and which questions should be addressed in it.
