Statistics and Data

On the one hand, statistical data make it possible to fulfil the reporting obligations towards the Land of Lower Saxony. The Mi­nis­te­ri­um für Wis­sen­schaft und Kul­tur (MWK) uses them to evaluate and direct the universities in Lower Saxony (in particular performance-related allocation of funds). On the other hand, statistical data are indispensable for the university's internal control processes.

The Quality Development and Accreditation Unit prepares data and compiles them into statistics that support the university's actors in their work. These include in particular the student, graduate and applicant statistics, but also special data packages for various occasions. Data from statistics and developments of tools for evaluations from the databases flow into various quality management measures (internal reports, surveys, programme monitoring and accreditation procedures).

In addition, the Quality Development and Accreditation Unit prepares a comprehensive data cockpit twice a year on all aspects of studies and coordinates further data cockpits on topics such as internationalisation, university sport and personnel.
